BMWED/Teamsters At Amtrak Win Wages Increases
Brotherhood of Maintenance of Way Employes (part of the Teamsters Rail Conference) working on Amtrak have won wage increases in their new contract with Amtrak. The BMWED announced today that a final and binding arbitration decision increases wage rates of Amtrak maintenance of way employees and amounts to an average raise of 3.1 percent a year.
Victory At Pasco County, FL for Teamsters Local 79
More than 1,100 Pasco county, Fla., public employees will soon be voting on a first Teamster contract now that Local 79, Tampa, and the county have agreed on a tentative contract. According to the local union, such issues as seniority, break time, overtime pay, holidays, uniforms and more are addressed in the contract.
