1608 James I sends english farmers to take over Catholic farmer's land and farms
1692 England forbids Catholics to vote,own land, or practice their religion
1845- 1849 Potato blight kills Ireland's food crops. About a million people die from starvation and the fever. Which is known as the Great Potato Famine
1916 is the Easter Rebellion. The monday after Easter, Irish patriots rebel against British troops in Dublin , Ireland, The British end ip executing the rebel leaders
1919- 1921 is the Anglo-Irish War. Britain finally gives up control of most of Ireland in a treaty. but it tightens its grip on 6 countries of Ulser (Northern Ireland)
1921- 1923 is the Irish Civil War between the pro-english treaty and the Irish Republican Army. The Republicans lose the chance for full freedom of the British.
1949 Ulser becomes a permanent part of the British Empire. (Leaving 26 countries full Irish)
1972 Bloody Sunday- when british kill unarmed anti-british protesters. British imposes direct control on Ulser. The Troubles begins which the Irish claim to be the beginning of an era of intense bloodshed
1990 Mary Robinson becomes the 1st woman president of Ireland
1998 Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland adopt on the Good Friday Agreement.
